CHS Summer Camp
Calgary Humane Society Summer Camp is a place where kids build meaningful connections with animals. Our goal is to create opportunities for children to interact with, learn about, and develop empathy for the animals that share our world.
Led by enthusiastic instructors, dedicated volunteers, and supported by our friendly animal ambassadors, each camp week offers an enriching experience filled with fun activities, creative crafts, and hands‑on learning. As campers explore and play, they also learn about respect, compassion, and the lifelong responsibility of caring for animals.
All activities are designed to be age‑appropriate and developmentally suitable. For campers who wish to attend multiple weeks, each week features a unique theme to ensure fresh and diverse experiences.
Throughout their time with us, campers will discover animal characteristics and behavior, learn proper pet care, and meet a variety of species, including bunnies, cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, and more!
Theme Description: Everything Animal (Grade 1-3)
For campers who adore all creatures great and small, we present Everything Animal! Campers will discover a wide variety of animal friends that share our world, exploring their unique adaptations and incredible diversity. Animal‑themed games, crafts, and activities bring each lesson to life. And of course, no animal camp would be complete without hands‑on interactions with the friendly animals at Calgary Humane Society!
