About this Event
Come and join Nadia and Erna Janine at Freeweaver Studio for this new and exciting mini-workshop.
We will introduce you to creative weaving on Japanese floorlooms so yoou can create your own cloth. We offer a choice of over 2000 different sustainable yarns so you can really get creative. Once you've woven your very own fabric, we'll help you to turn your creation into easy-to-use iron on patches. Using patches is the most accesible way to repair your favorite clothes, and with your own hanwoven patched, you can either match the fabric of your garments, or emphesize your creative sustainable side by highlighting the patches with contrasting colours (visisble mending).
Ofcourse you can use your patches equally to spruce of your garments and individualise them with pattern elements that you simply iron-on.
Bring the garments you'd like to repair with your own patches so you can match to materials with our yarn-wall materials, or just come along and weave cloth in your favorite colour scheme, so you can match it with your garments in an artistic way.
This is a short workshop as part of Sustainable Fashion Week. During the workshop you will create a set of 10 bespoke patches for you to take home
