About this Event
Spring awakens the earth with fresh energy and renewal—come join us for a morning of mindfulness, community, and the vibrant beauty of the season! Our most popular outdoor event, Waterfall Meditation, returns!
We’ll begin with sitting meditation by the lower falls (bring a foldable chair or something to place under your cushion), followed by a round of walking meditation. Afterward, enjoy a light hike (orange trail) and time to socialize on an easy, level trail surrounded by blooming greenery and flowing waters. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water if necessary. We’ll meet in the parking lot between 9:50 a.m. – 10 a.m. If you arrive late, look for the multicolored Tibetan flags and follow the path to the lower falls.
IMPORTANT: Check this web page 2 hours before starting time (8 a.m.) for any cancellation due to weather.
What you’ll enjoy during this special morning together:
- Meditating in the beauty of nature
- Breathing in the fresh, cascading air by the falls
- Taking in the renewal and calm of Connecticut’s spring
- Meeting new friends and sharing time with community
Trails are generally easy and mostly flat, though there may be bumps and small inclines. May not be suitable for every mobility level. Ages 13+ are welcome. This experience is best suited for those comfortable walking on natural surfaces.
What to Bring? A portable folding chair or meditation cushion with a something under to keep it clean, water too.
Suggested DonationA $10–$20 donation is appreciated to support BFF’s programs, donations to local preserves, and the ongoing development of our outreach. Donations are made at initial meeting point when registering, through Venmo, PayPal or in cash at the site (cash preferred: no fees).
