About this Event

In 1940 Winston Churchill became Britain's Prime Minister, with the task of steering the nation through the nightmare of the Second World War. But what else do you know about him?
Churchill's political career is one of great achievement, and as a result one of great controversy. By today's standards there are things to condemn - but also things to understand.
And some fact-checking wouldn't go amiss.
Meet me at the Churchill statue at the northeast corner of Parliament Square, close to Westminster Underground Station (District and Circle Lines, and Jubilee Line).
The tour will take approximately two hours, and finishes close to St James's Park station.
