Walk: Hiss the Villain

This circular walk with Pete Smith, starts from the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral close to Queen Anne’s statue, invites walkers to encounter a range of cheats, frauds, thieves, whores and cold-blooded killers. Passing a notorious no-go area where life was cheap and the site of a Pr*son described as ‘an emblem of Hell itself’, it introduces some chilling monsters – from Dickens’s fictional Fagin to some all too real rogues.
