Join us for a relaxed, drop-in session and discover the amazing birds that call the Waiuku Estuary home!Everyone is welcome—whether you’ve never counted birds before or are an experienced nature observer.
Learn about the local shorebirds and how a simple 5-minute bird count can help monitor and protect native species. Then bring your creativity to a guided painting session inspired by the birds you’ve spotted, with guidance from local artist Wilma Suppers.
This session is family-friendly, with activities to engage kids and adults alike.
You’ll also have a chance to chat with the friendly volunteers from Waiuku Trap Library about ways you can support native wildlife in your backyard and local community.
Delivered by Waiuku Predator Trap Library in partnership with local community conservation volunteers.
Cost: Free - No Registration Required
