Naomi is a Waiuku author of urban fantasy and cosy mysteries. She spends her free time (ha!) raising her twins, writing, taking the dog to the beach, and getting out on the water whenever possible. Last year she launched a paranormal cosy mystery series, with THE RETIRED ASSASSIN'S GUIDE TO COUNTRY GARDENING. The third novel in that series, THE RETIRED ASSASSIN'S GUIDE TO AMATEUR THEATRICS, will be published later in 2026.
Nikki is a Cambridge writer and former librarian who was a Ngaio Marsh Awards finalist for her debut mystery NOTHING BAD HAPPENS HERE, set in a small Coromandel town. Nikki has written five novels, twice been regional winner of National Flash Fiction Day, and had her short stories published in various journals, and Australasian crime and thriller anthology DARK DEEDS DOWN UNDER. Her latest novel is rural Gothic mystery IN HER BLOOD
Angus is a retired South Auckland detective, private investigator, and author of more than 30 books ranging across action thrillers, mystery, spy, private eye and wartime novels, dystopian tales, and recently, the Bow Street Runners series of middle grade mysteries for younger readers. His newest book is COP IT WRITE! a handbook for authors on police procedures and related matters.
Rachel came to writing after a successful 20-year career in law, specialising in fintech and working as a commercial lawyer in London and Auckland. She holds a Master of Laws from Harvard and a Master of Creative Writing from the University of Auckland, where she won the inaugural Phoenix Prize for best manuscript. Her debut novel SEE HOW THEY FALL, a pacy thriller set in contemporary Sydney, was published in Australasia, Europe, and the United States last year.
Kirsty grew up in a rural community near Eketahuna, and likes to write 'real New Zealand characters' into her fiction, poems, and short stories. She has a Masters of Creative Writing (AUT) and her short stories have been published in Fresh Ink anthologies. Her debut novel, THE STRENGTH OF EGGSHELLS was published in 2019, and its sequel THE STRENGTH OF OLD SHALE last year. Kirsty is also one of the recipients of a 2026 Michael King Writers Centre residency.
