Polish your Redbands, dust off your pearls, and come and party with us!"Gumboots and Glamour" is a theme inspired by the fact that rural folk, especially rural women are just at home in their farm gear and gumboots, as they are with being glammed up for a night out, often done in a very short timeframe, so we're having the ball to celebrate the Centenary as well as the versatility of our rural communities.
Women attending are encouraged to pair their ball dress with their gumboots, or their stilettos with their Swannie, pearls and best farm hat, and the men perhaps their ties and jackets with their favourite shirt and shorts, and maybe the woolly socks. Creativity will be rewarded!
LaValla and Rural Women New Zealand in the Waikato have a long relationship of running events together, and the evening is looking like yet another high-quality event. The food is sensational, as is the hospitality.
There will be some accommodation available.
