W1 Curates presents TRIBES – Fashioning Memories, a multidisciplinary exhibition by London-based architect and designer Josh Jen.
The panel talk for TRIBES – Fashioning Memories will explore how the exhibition draws from global fashion histories and cultural traditions, using garments as a starting point to inform design across objects, lighting, and space.
Attendees will gain insight into the process behind the exhibition, from garment design in CLO 3D through to the translation of these ideas into physical objects and spatial design.
Other topics that will also be discussed are broader themes of identity, including collectivism versus individuality, and how cultural narratives can inform contemporary design in a meaningful and locally specific way.
