About this Event
Box Hill Circular Hike
Hello hike lovers!
With the arrival of spring, we are delighted to announce our first hiking event of the year: the Box Hill Circular. This is a truly beautiful walk for anyone ready to take on a bit of a challenge. You will head out to the peaceful surroundings of Box Hill, where you will discover stunning landscapes, charming stepping stones, and some of the area’s most memorable scenery along the way.
As one of the most popular hiking destinations in England, Box Hill is a favourite among walkers who want to enjoy a rich variety of wildlife, wildflowers, and panoramic views. The route combines two distinct sections: the famous steep climbs and ridge-top views of Box Hill, followed by peaceful woodland trails around Mickleham. As with our previous hikes, we will meet at the station and travel together on the same train to Westhumble. Once we arrive, the walk will officially begin with our hiking guide, and we will set off through the beautiful woodland paths.
A quick note in advance: proper walking boots are required, as the route is quite hilly and can be challenging in places. The walk is expected to take around 5 to 6 hours, depending on the group’s pace and excluding breaks. Although there will be shops, cafés and pubs along the way, walkers are advised to bring their own snacks and sandwiches to avoid any delays.
The hike will finish where it begins, but as we have booked flexible tickets, anyone who wishes can also spend some time visiting the nearby town of Dorking afterwards.

Safety
Walking as a group: It is your responsibility to stay with the group during the walks. Do not leave the group unless you have the express permission of the walk leader.
First Aid: We will have a first aider and a first aid kit with the group and hope that no situation will arise where first aid is required. We'd like to remind you that participants must still take responsibility for themselves as the walk takes place in the woods.
- This event is aimed at students and young professionals.
- The booking fee includes round-trip train tickets and a guided hiking tour. Additional expenses are the responsibility of the individuals. Food and beverages are not provided by Turken.
- The fee you paid is for an open return train ticket (meaning it is more flexible and therefore priced differently than exact-time tickets).
