The Denver affiliate of Hot Mess Express has experienced an explosion in volunteer sign ups over the last few months due to social media and word of mouth. We are so excited to have so many new faces, and want to bring them all together so we can get to know each other and get excited about future missions.
When we reached out to the group for input on these events, we heard a resounding message: "We want opportunities to give back and get engaged in the community at these events". We hear you! And to honor that request, each of our volunteer meetups will have a drive/donation element so that you can give back to the community while having fun and meeting your fellow volunteers!
For our second volunteer meet up, we are doing a donation drive for a local DV shelter. Instead of an entry fee, we’re kindly asking for a donation from the wish list linked below, though it’s completely optional. Any contribution is appreciated, but nothing is expected!
The shelter has expressed that their number one need right now is unused clothes (tshirts, leggings, sweats sizes S-XXL) or food pantry items.
