About this Event
Sena Voncujovi (Agama Sino Ventures; Peking University, class '22) is a third-generation practitioner of Vodu and Afa, ancient West African spiritual and herbal practices. This conversation will highlight how Sena and other contemporary practitioners draw on African indigenous traditions and traditional Chinese medicine, provincializing the ways African spiritual traditions have been framed within the Western project.
Moving across geographies—Africa, Asia, the Americas—the event traces new directions for development and healing at the crossroads of the material and the spiritual.
