About this Event
This Earth Day, join , author of , and Barnes & Noble Philadelphia on Wednesday, April 22nd at 6pm at Barnes & Noble Philadelphia (1708 Chestnut Street) for a talk on climate change in Philadelphia.
As 2021’s Hurricane Ida record flooding showed us, climate change is already happening in Philadelphia as our climate gets decidedly hotter, wetter, even weirder. But what's the evidence for climate change locally? What are the trends in temperature and rainfall?
Just in time for Earth Day, writer-naturalist Mike Weilbacher, author of Wild Philly: Explore the Nature in and Around Philadelphia, presents this illustrated lecture, the region's only talk specifically about climate change in our region. You’ll not only be surprised by the data, but motivated to find solutions. In this must-see lecture, Mike walks you through the science, carefully answering your questions while weaving politics and pop culture into the conversation.
