A course for professional performers who want to sharpen their VO skills for video games. Elevate your craft. Voice characters with impact.
About this Event

This session is intended for professional performers who want to develop their voice over skills for video games.

Led by voice artist and BAFTA member Jess Nesling (Baldur's Gate III, Warhammer 40K: Darktide, Star Wars: Hunters, Diablo Immortal, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes and more!) you will be given tips, tricks and direction to elevate your performance and help your characters make an impact. Group sizes are kept small to maximise performance time.

What we'll cover:

  • Breaking Down 'Character Breakdowns': how to unlock memorable, believable characters from the descriptions you receive for auditions
  • Working for the Genre: understanding the tone required for different worlds
  • Efforts & Emotes: gain a clear understanding of what they are, and how to make them pack a punch! (Pun very much intended...)
  • On the Mic: record on mic in the session. Get live direction and feedback.
  • Q&A: To answer all your burning questions about the industry!
NB: Finances should never be a barrier to learning. For every TVF workshop there will be two Pay What You Can (PWYC) spaces available on a first come, first served basis. Please message us on Instagram (@thevocalfold.uk) to organise a discount code. Say what you can pay, no further questions asked, we'll get you booked in.
