About this Event
Bradbury Works visit
Saturday 25th April 2026, 10:45 for 11:00 am
Members booking from 25th March; guests booking from 6th April
Join us for a guided tour of a unique workspace building overlooking Gillett Square in Dalston. Bradbury Works was originally developed from an existing Victorian terrace, and the workspaces have been expanded and enhanced. The tour will be led by Alex Smith, founding director of [Y/N] Studio and architect of this project, completed in December 2022.
We will begin in the square, introducing the building and its relationship to the surrounding context, before moving inside to explore a series of shared spaces. Along the way, we will discuss how the building is organised and how it supports a range of users and activities.
While the individual office spaces are private, there will be opportunities to view them from the outside and gain a sense of how they are used.
The tour will conclude at [Y/N] Studio, located within the building, where we will see models of the project and watch a short film introducing the client – Hackney Co-operative Developments - and the wider vision behind the building, which has won awards from RIBA and the Civic Trust.
This is a great opportunity to gain insight into the building’s design, how it functions day-to-day, and the ideas that shaped its development.
The visit will last about 1.5 hours
Meet in Gillett Square from 10:45 for an 11am start. The event will end by 12:30pm
