About this Event
Édouard Louis is the author of seven novels, The End of Eddy (2014), History of Violence (2016), Who Killed my Father (2018), Change: A Novel (2021), A Woman’s Battles and Transformations (2022), Monique escapes (2024), and Collapse (2024). He is also the editor of a collective volume on the social scientist Pierre Bourdieu, and the co-author of two plays, Au cœur de la violence (with Thomas Ostermeier) and The Interrogation (with Milo Rau). His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Freeman’s among others. His books, translated into thirty languages and adapted for film and theater, have made him one of the most celebrated writers of his generation worldwide. Éditions Points Seuil has recently published a eight-volume coffret featuring his complete works, along with a new collection of interviews.
On the occasion of the US release of his two latest novels in English translation by FSG, (trans. John Lambert) and (trans. Tash Aw), Édouard Louis will discuss VIOLENCE, GENDER AND LIBERATION, in a conversation moderated by Sylvaine Guyot (NYU).
