About this Event
Would you love to...
- add some pizzazz to your landscaping but aren't sure what it really needs?
- keep your landscaping looking its best, but hesitant to prune your plants and shrubs?
- boost your curb appeal without paying a fortune hiring professionals every year?
Let's walk Bedrock Gardens together and talk through common landscape challenges, easy pruning techniques to keep your plantings well groomed, and examples of easy-care perennials and annuals you can add to your landscaping for a boost of color and charm.
We'll look at:
· Pruning, deadheading and tidying common foundational shrubs ("house huggers") like Rhododendron, Hydrangea, Weigela, Boxwood, and Viburnum. With regular pruning, these shrubs can perform their best and look amazing for decades.
· Choosing colorful, easy-care perennials for added appeal and interest.
· How to dot annuals into your landscape in an organized, affordable way every year.
· How to reinvigorate large, older plants through pruning or how to know if it's time to say goodbye.
· Common shrubs for long-term beauty and all-season interest.
Bring questions and concerns about your own home landscape and find answers from professional fine gardener Lisa Cordner, Owner of Creative Bliss Gardening and a former Manager of Educational Programming at Bedrock Gardens.
