UofT and YWCA Presents: Future Sound 6 Showcase Concert
Future Sound 6 is a collaboration between the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and the YWCA Toronto Girls Center in Scarborough that brings music technology education to underserved communities in the GTA. This concert includes audio-visual works and performances showcasing the work of the next generation of artists and producers.
You can attend the concert in person at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Music, 80 Queen’s Park. There will be signs and staff to direct you to Walter Hall, where the concert will take place. A reception with refreshments will take place afterward. Doors open at 5:30pm and the concert starts at 6pm.
Future Sound 6 participants have explored song-writing, digital music production, audio-visual storytelling, and performance through workshops led by staff and students from the Faculty of Music. Over four months, they’ve developed powerful, personal, and collaborative projects that reflect their identities, stories, and artistic voices.
The concert and reception are open to all, and we ask all who intend to attend to please register. If you cannot attend in person, please specify when registering and you may join through a Youtube link that will be sent out via email.
Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions and if you have accessibility-related accommodation requests.
