About this Event
Overview:
Before the Covid-19 pandemic began, there were nearly 2.2m children in England living in households affected by domestic abuse, parental drug and alcohol dependency and severe parental mental health issues. As we exit another lockdown, we are now seeing a rise in reported cases, with domestic abuse highlighted as one of the most prevalent consequences of the pandemic.
To gain a deeper understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on the family, we must first understand the effects on the victim, how this can affect their parenting capacity, and how this is then perceived and experienced by the child.
Join us as we take a unique look through the eyes of a child in witnessing and experiencing domestic abuse, and learn how Antser's innovative Virtual Reality tools are being used to increase empathy, create positive behaviour change and improve outcomes for children and families.

The individual’s own strengths, resources and coping skills and resilience are reinforced, contributing to their own health and wellness on a long-term basis. Caroline uses this approach throughout her training.
