Overview
This training provides real world examples of how attachment disturbances present in young children, adolescents, and adults. Attachment theory can be complex and at times difficult to understand the nuances of how attachment disruptions can lead to ongoing emotional, behavioral, and personality challenges across the lifespan. By providing case examples, participants will develop a greater understanding of attachment, how to assess attachment challenges, and different interventions that might be helpful to create change.
Presenter
Dr. Leah Featherstone is a graduate from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology and has been practicing as a licensed psychologist since 2012. She specializes in trauma and attachment, and is passionate about providing education, training, and support in these areas. She provides ongoing supervision and consultation to therapists and other providers, utilizing a trauma and attachment-informed lens. She is the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Professional Services Group, overseeing all clinical components of programming and outpatient clinics.
Professional Services Group has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7066. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Professional Services Group is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
