About this Event
As an #iWill Movement City of Social Action, Gloucester is proud to be hosting one of seven youth co‑led Hack events in May that will bring young people together to explore the challenges and opportunities of being online. We'll work together to develop ideas that will feed directly into the national consultation’s findings.
Basically what you tell us will be heard/read by people who make decisions. We want to make sure that your experiences of growing up online, on socials is represented - whether you live for likes, have found your community or struggle with the pressures. No rights or wrongs, just how you feel and think.
What does the event look like?
Other young people from Gloucester and neighbouring districts, and our friends from The #iWillMovement, will work with you in small groups to answer some juicy questions. We want your voices, in your words on this really important subject.
We particularly want to hear from young people aged 13 to 15, as you will be most affected.
Will there be food?
Yes, and snacks.
What will we do with what you tell us?
The Government has asked what young people think so Youth Collaborators from the #iWill Movement will contribute to interpreting the insights and ensuring young people’s experiences are meaningfully represented.
A full report and a youth‑friendly findings report will be published in Summer 2026, alongside public communications summarising what young people, families and practitioners told us.
