The vino rosso is ready and our Italian chef is baking fresh focaccia in the oven. Listen to a live performance by Italian singer Davide de Luca. On his guitar and accompanied by pianist Marius, Davide de Luca sings soulful Italian classics and songs from his new EP ‘Crisalidi’, an artistically mature project in which the singer-songwriter elegantly immerses himself in various styles.
During the five tracks that make up the EP, Davide retraces some phases of his life, describing the related changes on a personal, emotional, and social level, thus revealing some of his most intimate and unexplored traits. Like a chrysalis transforming into a butterfly, the italian artist rediscovers himself free from the mental cages and social constructs in which he had been trapped for far too long: there is no more room for insecurity, and it’s time to embrace a healthy dose of electricity.
With his warm voice, Davide creates a soft atmosphere of nostalgia and transforms cafe@droog into a cozy Italian casa for the second time…Whether you’re Italian or not, it promises to be a particularly relaxed and romantic aperitivo.

Davide De Luca is an Italian singer-songwriter from Lecce. He combines the cheerful vibes of American pop and jazz with the emotional depth of Italian lyrics. His music is a blend of jazz, soul, and funk. He started singing, playing guitar, and writing songs when he was 10 years old. In 2021, he moved to Amsterdam and graduated from the Conservatory last year. He now releases his own songs on digital platforms and collaborates with various producers. By exploring themes such as love, relationships, and personal growth, Davide de Luca forges irresistible melodies that resonate universally. "Crisalidi" ("Chrysalis") is his first EP, an artistically mature project in which he elegantly immerses himself in various styles, starting with R&B, moving through nu-funk and hip-hop. Meanwhile, he tours around the world and on October 25th, he performs at @droog cafe.
