Join us for a series of short talks tackling the big questions shaping the future of energy, as part of the Bartlett’s UCL200 celebrations.
About this Event

PowerTalks, hosted by the UCL Energy Institute, brings together researchers at the forefront of energy research to share new thinking through concise, focused talks.

Across three sessions, speakers will explore urban decarbonisation, the future of energy systems, and the challenge of heating and cooling, with insights spanning technology, policy, and real-world impact.

Each talk offers an accessible snapshot of current research, followed by panel discussions that draw connections across themes.




UCL200 at the Bartlett


2026 is the year in which we celebrate UCL’s bicentenary, marking 200 years since UCL’s establishment as the first university in London.

On 11 February 2026, UCL began a year of celebration to mark our bicentenary. UCL200 will be an exciting and varied programme of activities, events and storytelling, celebrating and reinforcing UCL’s commitment to our founding values, highlighting the excellence and impact of our groundbreaking work and people, and presenting an ambitious and inspiring portrait of our future.
