The cast of TYPE CAST will each bring in a recent audition breakdown they received, put them in a hat, and each choose a character they’ll get to portray in this 30-minute narrative improv set. With help from the audience, we’ll present a mashup of character and genre tropes led by the roles we weren’t born to play.

Bad Dog Comedy Theatre and Sex T-Rex are honoured to announce the return of Blockbuster Week from May 11-16, 2026, at Videocabaret, a community gathering for some of Toronto’s most talented artists. Blockbuster Week is a beloved festival of brand new improvised comedies celebrating movies and television in a live, unscripted setting.
Blockbuster Week culminates on May 16 in a celebratory awards night called The Sexies, which sees Sex T-Rex awarding satirical yet heartfelt awards to all the artists in the festival.
