Tuesday Trivia Night at Rare Bird Brewpub is back! We'll have weekly prizes for first, second, and third-place teams, plus a perfect attendance prize just for showing up every week. See all the details below!RARE BIRD TUESDAY NIGHT TRIVIA: FALL 2024-SPRING 2025 RULES/FORMAT
> Trivia will be played at Rare Bird every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm from November 12 to April 29 (off December 24 and 31 for the holidays). Play will be split into two seasons: Season 1 will cover November/December/January, and Season 2 will cover February/March/April.
> Teams are generally 1-6 players. You can have more than 6 players on any given night, but season prizes like perfect attendance will only be awarded to a maximum of 6 team players.
> Three prizes will be awarded every trivia night, including Rare Bird gift cards of $30 (first place), $20 (second place), and $10 (third place) for the top-scoring teams. Every team that has perfect attendance for Season 1 and/or Season 2 – playing every week for three months – will receive two rounds of Rare Bird beers on the house for each team player at the end of the season (maximum of 6 players).
> Scoring/Format: Each trivia night will consist of four rounds of written or visual trivia of 15 questions each, plus a music round consisting of 15 musical questions. The written/visual rounds are played in a "homework"-style format, with teams picking up a written worksheet and answering questions together at their table. Teams then trade and grade with their neighbors as the answers are read over the microphone at the end of the round. During the music round, a snippet of music is played overhead, with teams asked to identify one or more aspects of the song (typically the song title or artist). Be sure to use the same trivia team name every week to ensure your attendance is tracked!
> Cheating: The use of smart phones, computers, tablets, or any other devices to look up answers is strictly prohibited. Teams caught cheating will be disqualified for the night. Teams caught cheating more than once will be disqualified for the season. Please do not shout out or share answers outside of your team.
> Hosting: Because Rare Bird trivia is a local, community-hosted trivia night, teams taking turns hosting/writing trivia is an important component of the game. Host teams enjoy complimentary Rare Bird beers and a $25 food tab the night they host (maximum of 6 players). Hosting also counts toward perfect attendance. To sign up to host, contact Beth at [email protected] or 231-342-0611. First-time hosts will be required to submit their rounds ahead of time for QA and feedback.
