About the presenter:
Cameron Young manages 20Fathoms’ initiatives to connect startup founders to funding sources that help them launch and scale their businesses. This includes the Michigan SBDC Business Accelerator Fund and other local, state, and national grants, loans, and investment opportunities.
A Traverse City native, Cameron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lake Superior State University and an MBA from Michigan Tech University.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, reading, mountain biking, snowboarding, and working on his 40-year-old powerboat.
Dave Kronberg is responsible for the development and execution of 20Fathoms’ Small Business Support Hub initiative. In this role, he develops the strategy, resources, and community partnerships that enable 20Fathoms to provide startup support services to entrepreneurs throughout Northwest Michigan.
Dave has spent his career in Northern Michigan as a small business founder, startup ecosystem builder, technologist, designer, and community leader. Prior to joining 20Fathoms, he most recently served as Director of Entrepreneurial Services & Outreach at Innovate Marquette SmartZone & Invent@NMU. He has a keen understanding of the unique demands that come with building a business in rural Northern Michigan and enjoys utilizing his expertise and network to help the next generation of entrepreneurs succeed.
Outside of his work at 20Fathoms, Dave is Founder and President of Fresh Coast Light Lab, which is a public art production company integrating original artwork into architectural laser shows on Marquette’s iconic lower harbor Ore Dock. He also serves on the Michigan Arts and Culture Council, a position appointed by the governor.
In his spare time, he enjoys building wooden boats and musical instruments and spending time with his partner Mary who is an artist, and their son who recently graduated from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
