CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
HATHA YOGA
Explores asana (postures) and gentle flow. If you are an advanced practitioner feel free to deepen your practice during class. Beginner friendly.
YIN YOGA
Gentle and contemplative style of yoga that focuses on long-held, passive poses designed to target the connective tissues in the body, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. In contrast to more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin yoga emphasizes deep stretching and relaxation, allowing practitioners to access a state of meditative stillness. By holding poses for extended periods, often between three to five minutes or even longer, Yin yoga promotes flexibility, joint mobility, and mental calmness, making it an ideal practice for those seeking a slower, more introspective approach to yoga and a way to release physical and emotional tension.
MAT PILATES
This Pilates class will provide a safe and nurturing environment to explore and challenge our bodies. We will learn ways to stabilize and strengthen our joints and muscles and deepen our mind/ body connection. This beginner friendly class will honor your current fitness level and progressively challenge you to make improvements in strength and endurance.
INTENTIONAL RESTORATION:
The antidote to stress! Deeply relax as your body is fully supported with bolsters, blankets & blocks. Restorative practice improves the capacity for healing and balancing, balances the nervous and immune systems, boosts immunity, enhances your mood, and deeply relaxes the body.
DRUMMING:
Basic rhythms on hand drums. No experience needed.
