About this Event

Walk It Out: HIV Stigma Kiki Ball is an electrifying ballroom event presented by Tri-State Black Pride Memphis that blends culture, competition, and community to take a stand against HIV stigma.

Hosted by the Iconic Byron Juicy Couture, this high-energy Kiki Ball invites performers, houses, and community members to walk the runway, serve face, and bring powerful performances while incorporating the red ribbon, the global symbol of HIV awareness.

With $5,000 in cash prizes on the line, competitors will battle it out across multiple categories including Runway, OTA Performance, Realness, Face, Streetwear, Best Dressed, and more. The night will also award $1,000 to the House with the Most Points, celebrating teamwork, creativity, and ballroom excellence.

This event is more than a competition—it’s a call to action. Through the art of ballroom, we are stomping out HIV stigma, uplifting community voices, and promoting awareness in a space built on pride, resilience, and expression.

Join us at the Renasant Convention Center in Downtown Memphis for an unforgettable night of culture, performance, and purpose.

  • Emerging out of the historical House/Ballroom community, the Kiki scene is a highly organized and energized movement in the LGBTQ community. It centers around so-called houses, with complex kinship structures, that function as vital support systems—support systems that the government and biological families often fail to provide. The underground scene is best known for its lavish balls, where performers present their unique looks and movement styles, competing in different categories for their respective houses.

About the Host: The Iconic Byron Keaton, In ballroom, he is the iconic LA Father of the International Iconic House of Juicy Couture (Kiki) & noted member of the International Iconic House of Miyake Mugler (Mainstream)
