Transparent Journeys: Glass & Connectivity across Central Asia and Beyond
Conference focusing on the vital role of glass as an indicator of exchange, trade and movement along the Silk Road. Two days featuring twenty-four talks by some of the leading international experts in this area, ranging from informed overviews to cutting edge research results.
Co-organised by the Association for the History of Glass, UCL Institute of Archaeology and the Scientific Research Department of the British Museum, this event will take place in historic Bloomsbury, London. In addition to the lecture programme, optional visits to see the British Museum's laboratories, the Petrie Museum's Egyptian glass and the British Museum's Hawaii exhibition are avaliable to early registrants.
