Touch Grass Day-Tripper: Wild Creatives (March 21st)

Explore, create, and connect in nature's boundless playground. Our curated day events are designed to immerse you in the beauty of nature while igniting your creative spark.

In this beginner-friendly collage workshop, we’ll create A5 collage postcards inspired by the themes of home, family, light, and connection. Using magazines, patterned papers, found images and words, you’ll build a mini artwork that tells a piece of your story — real, imagined, ancestral, present-day, or future-facing.

This is a process-over-perfection space. No art experience needed. You can chat, you can work quietly, you can take your time. Sharing is always optional.

Make something small, meaningful, and very you.

🌼 We’ll ease in with a gentle grounding and a low-stakes warm-up, then you’ll have plenty of time to create.

🌼 You’ll leave with at least one finished A5 collage postcard (and many people will make two). If you want to work larger, you’re welcome to.

Who is this for? This is an exclusive event for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour. Refunds will not be given if you ignore this message.

What to bring:

🌼 Any personal paper items you’d like to include (copies only please, as we’ll be cutting/gluing!)

*Materials (paper, pencils, crayons etc.) will be provided, as well as light refreshments

Accessibility

QUEERCIRCLE has step-free access throughout our gallery, reading room and project spaces. There is also step free access across the Design District. We will be in the project space on the first floor, a lift is available. The lift has key card access which is available from the person leading the workshop. The lift dimensions are 150 cm x 108 cm x 213 cm. The lift door dimensions are 90 cm x 200 cm.

Accessible toilets and baby change facilities are available on the ground and first floor. All our toilets are self-enclosed and all-gender.

Touch Grass is an outdoor community for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour.

We are committed to fostering community growth through outdoor gatherings and wellness-focused trips that encourage us to rekindle our relationship with nature. Our immersive experiences go beyond relaxation—it's about empowerment, wellness, and forging meaningful connections.

Our vision is for queer people of colour to see the outdoors as a space where we belong. A Natural England study found that white people are 70% more likely than Black and Asian people to spend time in the countryside. We want to change this. We deserve to reap the benefits of improved emotional well-being and physical health too.

We believe creativity and nature go hand in hand, which is why most of our events encourage you to embrace nature and your inner creative spirit.
