About this Event

Tooting Repair Club open evening
Come join us at Mushkil Aasaan (222 Upper Tooting Rd) for a fun and social night all about the repair of our everyday gadgets.
We're excited to be partnering with ReLondon for Repair Week 2025 - find out about the many other events here.
Everyone is welcome to this open session (under 18s need to be accompanied, sorry): for beginners there'll be taster sessions and demos in soldering, using a multimeter, and the basics of safety testing for repair, and If you're an experienced fixer you're sure to meet likemineded souls. If you're simply curious - then this is for you too!
Note: we won't be doing any fixing during this session, so please do not bring broken items. Click this link for upcoming London repair cafes.
The Repair Club team will be on hand to answer all your questions - we're always on the lookout for new members too.
Tooting Repair Club emerged from Transition Tooting's regular Restart Parties: over a dacade of running regular community repair events, where textiles repairs are tackled alongside all the electricals. Some of the Tooting Restart team will be on hand to share information about community repair activities.
You'll also have the opportunity to hear about our early plans for a permanent Tooting Repair Rooms - there's plenty of ways to get involved!
A bit about Repair Clubs
Repair Clubs are social and fun membership meetups for anyone interested in fixing our domestic gadgets - 'from hair dryer to air fryer' - we gather to fix the stuff no one fixes any more, and develop and share our fixing skills.
Repair Clubs have the tools, space, safety systems and insurance, so that you can turn up and get stuck in (at some the members chip in a small amount to pay for the overheads).
Repair Clubs are fun and social communities where you can develop your fixing skills alongside other like-mineded people.
Repair Clubs are run by and for the members, and there are no staff - everyone puts a small amount of time in to keep them running - that could be hosting events, doing admin, coding a new system...or cleaning the workspace
Repair Clubs are not a service: any membership contributions are there to cover costs with any surplus going towards buying tools and spares.
Repair Clubs are all independent and self-driven, so they'll all be different based thier community: they're usually based on a regular meetup and they'll often offer training and skills share sessions.
At Tooting Repair Club we're geared towards self-sufficient fixers - but by no means do you have to be an expert, as we recognise repair as a life-long learning journey.
In the future we plan to run training programmes to bring in people totally new to repair.
If you're interested in joining us then speak to one of the team or email us at [email protected] - make sure to put 'Tooting' in the subject line.
Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to be part of the Tooting Repair Club community. Mark your calendars and see you there!
