About this Event
Come solo or bring a crew—either way, you’ll team up to design, construct, and (hopefully) defend your structure against increasing weight. Will your bridge hold strong under pressure, or collapse in a dramatic display of tiny wooden defeat?
We’ll supply all the materials. You bring the ingenuity, questionable engineering instincts, and a willingness to fail gloriously.
Set in a playful, social atmosphere, this is less about perfection and more about experimentation, collaboration, and the suspense of “just one more pound.” Expect big ideas, structural surprises, and the kind of suspense that only comes from watching something you built slowly pushed to its limits.
Nothing too serious, nothing too safe—just a few hours spent building something delicate and daring it to stand.
3-3:30: Arrive + Mingle + Team Selection
3:30-5:30: Build Time
5:30-6:00: Intermission + Mingle
6:00: Weight Test + Pizza Party
Please bring a water bottle and any personal snacks to keep your brain firing during the build. We’ll provide refreshments and pizza for the engineers.
