Join us for an evocative evening with pianist and performer Fei Nie (CN/DK) as she presents her latest project Sunshine. Concluding the year-long audio-visual concert series between Tofu Collective and Don’t Look Back, Fei Nie will expand a hypnotic soundscape composed of ambient, noise, and drone that pulls the audience along on an introspective journey exploring the profound sense of growth through separation.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞:
The title of the performance sentimentally references the brand of her first piano, which she started playing at the age of five when she first dedicated herself to the mastery of classical music. The first cracks in her relationship to her lifelong craft appeared when Fei moved abroad, where she began to question the integrity of upholding a Western art heritage rather than finding her own authenticity. Through Sunshine, Fei takes the plunge into uncertainty as she finally lets her own stories course through her fingers into a transgressive rediscovery of identity.
