Hello to all!Join us for the next gathering of the Social Choreography Lab Helsinki on Tuesday, May 16th between 17:30 - 20:00h.
The workshop will be led by artist and choreographer TIIA KASURINEN.

In the Social Choreography workshop Tiia will present artistic practices that have been present in her projects during the past years, especially focusing on the works “I’m not entirely here (cybersad)” (2020) and an upcoming work “ONSTAGE - The Concert” (2023). She will lead bodily exercises from both projects, touching on themes of power, gaze, gendered performances and identity. No previous dancing experience required! All the proposals can be modified to one’s own body and starting point.
Artist/choreographer Tiia Kasurinen graduated from the Stockholm University of the Arts in 2017. She is interested in themes such as identity, gender, the gaze and pop culture, and explores them in her works through make-up, visual transformation and motion. Her work has been presented in f.ex. Zodiak - Centre for New Dance, Helsinki Festival, Reykjavik Art Festival, New Performance Turku Biennale and Kuopio City Theatre.
