About this Event
Join us as we round off Tidy Town Fest 2026, Barrow-in-Furness’ week‑long celebration of community pride, environmental action, and collective effort. This year’s festival runs in conjunction with the Great British Spring Clean, bringing together organisations, volunteers, families, and local groups to make our town shine.
About the Event
To close the week in style, Junior Park Run and Friends of Barrow Park are teaming up for a special Sunday clean-up event — and everyone is invited. After the young runners complete their route, we’ll be rolling up our sleeves to give Barrow Park and its surrounding areas a thorough spring refresh.
Meet at 9am at the cafe park pavilion.
What to Expect
- A friendly, family‑oriented litter‑picking session suitable for all ages
- Support and enthusiasm from the Active Cumbria mascot, who will be joining us on the day
- Representatives from a range of local organisations taking part in the final push of the festival
- All equipment provided — just bring your energy and community spirit
- A chance to meet neighbours, make new connections, and contribute to a cleaner, greener Barrow
After the clean-up, head over to the Park Pavilion Café, which will be open for refreshments — the perfect way to warm up, wind down, and celebrate a week of positive action.
Who Can Join?
Everyone. Whether you’re a regular volunteer, a family looking for a fun Sunday activity, or someone who simply wants to make a difference, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
Why It Matters
Tidy Town Fest is built on the belief that small actions add up. By giving just a little time, you help create a cleaner environment, a stronger community, and a Barrow we can all be proud of.
