About this Event
🚆 Join us for an insightful conversation with BART Directors Robert Raburn (District 4) and Victor Flores (District 7) as they share their unique journeys and perspectives on the future of public transit in the Bay Area.
Director Raburn, first elected in 2010, has a long history of advocacy for bicycle safety, transit accessibility, and regional planning. A transportation geographer by training and a grassroots community leader by passion, his impact spans decades of policy influence and infrastructure improvements across Alameda County.
Director Flores, elected in 2024, brings a powerful personal story and deep commitment to climate resilience, equity, and urban policy. From his roots in Oakland’s Fruitvale District to earning a degree from UC Berkeley after overcoming incarceration as a teen, Victor champions bold, inclusive leadership for BART’s future.
🎤 Learn how these two leaders—one a veteran transit advocate, the other a rising voice for equity and sustainability—are helping shape the next chapter for Bay Area transportation.
