StorySlam Oakland is Oakland's longest-running true storytelling show where people tell short and true stories from their lives. Or just listen and laugh.Each month there is a theme and a featured performer. The theme for this show is PASSION.Our headliner is the fabulous David Rodriguez a longtime StorySlam Oakland favorite a winner of our previous slams and multiple-time Moth StorySLAM winner. Come join us and tell your story.
Put your name in the hat when you come in for a chance to be picked to tell your story. Remember open-mic stories must be 5 to 6 minutes or less no notes and no reading allowed. Just tell it like you’re telling friends around a dinner table.
Beer wine and non-alcoholic drinks available. And as always the food is amazing!
