Through the Valley grief series returns this spring with eight sessions beginning April 20th.Sessions meet Monday evenings at 7:00 PM in Olmsted Parlor.
The series is interfaith and open to people of all traditions, and none. Drop-in attendance is welcome; you do not need to commit to all eight sessions.
Sessions Meet:
April 20th: Coming Back to the Circle - Welcome, orientation, and covenant
April 27th: The Grief of What Was Supposed to Happen - Dreams, expectations, and the future that was planned and will not come
May 4th: The Quiet - What to do with silence — the empty house, the absent voice, the changed sound of daily life
May 11th: The Anger Nobody Talks About - Permission for the rage that comes with grief — and what it is really saying
May 18th: A Widow Without the Name - For those whose grief has no social recognition — the partner, the caregiver, the divorced, the estranged
May 25th: The Possessions - What to do with the objects — the clothes, the chair, the half-empty bottles in the medicine cabinet
June 1st: How Do You Pick Up and Carry On - The practical, honest, unglamorous question — Tuesday, and the Tuesday after that
June 8th: Threshold and Ritual - Seeds, blessing, and the summer ahead

This series is pastoral care, not therapy, and it is not a substitute for professional support. A resource list with local grief counselors and support organizations will be available at each session.
