Join The Feminist Conversations for a warm and engaging community afternoon gathering focused on navigating today’s affordability challenges through practical tools, supportive conversations, and shared community experiences. This event offers a welcoming space for women, families, and community members to connect while exploring realistic strategies for supporting financial wellbeing, reducing financial stress, and managing the rising cost of living.
Attendees will gain helpful insights on navigating grocery flyers, promotions, discounts, seasonal sales, and budget-conscious shopping in Ottawa, alongside learning about supportive local resources and practical approaches to wellbeing during financially stressful times.
We are excited to welcome Maya Wassie, Health Promoter at Carlington Community Health Centre, who works closely with families and communities navigating affordability, mental health, and access-to-care challenges, and is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces where individuals feel supported, empowered, and connected.
We are also pleased to welcome Donovan Burey, who will share practical insights and community-based strategies for finding grocery deals and making everyday shopping more affordable for Ottawa families.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch for only $15.
