About this Event
Thrift the Runway is a community fashion show fundraiser hosted by the Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley (HSBV) and Canmore Young Adult Network (CYAN), taking place on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Canmore Brewing Co.
This event celebrates creativity, sustainability, and self expression through fashion made from thrifted, borrowed, swapped, repurposed, handmade, vintage, and upcycled clothing. Each runway look is created using secondhand materials, highlighting the beauty and possibility of circular fashion while reducing textile waste.
Participants from across the Bow Valley will take to the runway to showcase themed looks and creative styling. Themes include Mono-Chromatic, Wild Wild West, What Decade Is It, Mountain Chic & Gorp Core, and Reclaimed Runway. Audience members will vote for their favourite looks, with prizes awarded in each category.
All proceeds from ticket sales will directly support HSBV’s Emergency Winter Shelter and Outreach Programs, helping provide a warm place to sleep and essential supports for community members experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity in the Bow Valley.
