This Is Aging: The Future of Aging in Canada

Facilitated by Dr. Raza M. Mirza (University of Toronto; HelpAge Canada) and alumni of the University of Toronto's Intergenerational Classroom, along with Special Guests Dr. Samir Sinha (Sinai Health/UHN & NIA) and Laura Tamblyn-Watts (CanAge)

Join us at the University of Toronto's Translational Research Building on Tuesday March 24, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM (ET) for This Is Aging, a dynamic series of workshops that aims to challenge stereotypes about aging and foster connection across generations.

As the older adult population in Canada continues to grow, the aging society will face a number of critical challenges, including issues related to aging in place and housing, addressing social isolation, financial insecurity, shortages in long-term care, and a growing pressure on the healthcare system.

Join us for a panel discussion, where Dr. Samir Sinha (Sinai Health), Laura Tamblyn-Watts (CanAge), and alumni of the Intergenerational Class will explore what the future of aging in Canada might look like, and how we can work together to ensure that older adults' rights and voices are respected.

We will have an open conversation about what the future of aging looks like in Canada, and consider different themes from the perspectives of both younger and older generations.

It's a chance to share stories, learn from each other, and connect with people of all ages. We invite you to be part of the conversation about aging, life, end-of-life issues, and everything in between!

This event is free (but registration is required), and open to all seniors, students, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and interested community members. Refreshments will be provided.

We invite you to join us at our other This Is Aging sessions. Please find a list of other sessions here:
