This Is Aging: A Conversation on Social Isolation and Loneliness
Facilitated by Ruth Tamari (PhD Student, McMaster University) and alumni of the University of Toronto's Intergenerational Classroom
Join us at Toronto Metropolitan University (Victoria Building, Room VIC609) on Friday March 20, 2026 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (ET) forThis Is Aging, a dynamic series of workshops that aims to challenge stereotypes about aging and foster connection across generations.
Join us for an interactive session where we explore the impacts that social isolation and loneliness can have on individuals of all ages. We will work together on building awareness, identifying risk factors, and creating some practical strategies for building meaningful human interactions.
In this session, we will have an open conversation about social isolation and loneliness, and consider these topics from the perspectives of both younger and older generations.
It's a chance to share stories, learn from each other, and connect with people of all ages. We invite you to be part of the conversation about aging, life, and everything in between!
This event is free (but registration is required), and open to all seniors, students, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and interested community members. Refreshments will be provided.
We invite you to join us at our other This Is Aging sessions. Please find a list of other sessions here:
