Theo Parrish & the Sound Signature Family Land in Cork for Landmark Savoy Theatre Event
On Saturday, May 9th, the iconic Savoy Theatre becomes the setting for a rare and powerful musical gathering as Detroit visionary Theo Parrish arrives with the Sound Signature family for an extended session rooted in deep musical tradition and forward-thinking sound.
Doors open at5PMwith Theo Parrish himself setting the tone with a special extended opening set. This is an opportunity to experience one of the most important voices in contemporary Black music in a rare, open format journey from the very beginning of the night.
A true architect of sound, Parrish stands as a beacon of Black musical expression, seamlessly weaving house, jazz, soul, and experimental rhythms into something both timeless and urgent. Through Sound Signature, he has built a global platform for uncompromising artistry, influencing generations while staying rooted in the depth and spirit of Detroit.
Joining him is an amazing lineup from the Sound Signature extended family alongside local legends, creating a transatlantic dialogue on the dancefloor. A key highlight will be East West Assembly featuring Monica Blaire as they build momentum toward an upcoming release on Sound Signature bringing raw, live energy into the night with 14 piece band of amazing musicians.
Ideeyah Supreme and Meftah bring their live show also and they are joined by Whodat who will DJ alongside Frawl & Pablo Fatty Fatty with a live PA from Cork's very own Shane Breen & Abbie Lee.
The event also marks a special co-production with Rory’s Birthday Party and the Dublin Disco All dayer, uniting communities in a shared celebration of sound, dance culture, and connection.
