Old-school extremity returns to Berlin.
The Troops of Doom were formed by Jairo “Tormentor” Guedz, original guitarist of Sepultura and a key figure behind the classic albums Bestial Devastation (1985) and Morbid Visions (1986). The band stands as a direct continuation of that era — raw, aggressive and rooted in the foundations of death and thrash metal.
Blending early Sepultura DNA with influences from Slayer, Celtic Frost and Possessed, The Troops of Doom bring back the spirit of the 80s underground with modern production and uncompromising intensity.
The current lineup features Frank Blackfire (Sodom) on guitar, adding another layer of legacy and experience to the band’s sound.
With releases produced and mixed by names like Peter Tägtgren and Jim Morris, and artwork by legends such as Dan Seagrave, the band bridges past and present in a way few can.
