Meet Our Special Guests:
Vicki Peterson & John Cowsill:
Vicki Peterson, a founding member of The Bangles, whose work includes the #1 hit “Walk Like An Egyptian” and several other Top 10 songs, such as “Eternal Flame”, teams up with John Cowsill, drummer/vocalist for The Beach Boys for over 23 years and original member of the platinum-selling family band, The Cowsills, to lovingly present their debut Americana album comprised of songs written by John’s late brothers, Barry and Bill Cowsill titled, Long After The Fire.
It all began with the songs…exquisitely written by John’s brothers at various points in their all-too-short lives. These ‘Roy Orbison’ meets ‘The Everly Brothers’ tunes are true gems unearthed like treasures from The Cowsill family archives.
Get ready to hear the latest tracks from their new album alongside iconic classics from The Bangles and The Cowsills all while they reveal the fascinating stories behind the music—perfect for the ultimate fans! It will be an incredible night filled with music, love, and unforgettable moments.
The Tall Pines:
“Connie Lynn Petruk and Christmas Davis are The Tall Pines – a duo who weld garage-rock, southern soul, swamp blues, and drive-in-movie sleaze into a bare-bones rock ‘n’ roll joyride. Think…a sound that’s equal parts back-porch and back alley.” ~ One4Review, UK
With Connie Lynn singing and playing drums on her alligator skin suitcase, while Christmas Davis conjures greasy, fuzz-drenched riffs from his guitar, their shows are not to be missed. The Tall Pines have played at The Stagecoach Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, 30A Songwriters Festival, and on bills with Steve Earle, Nikki Lane, Kid Congo Powers, Norah Jones, Tav Falco, Justin Townes Earle, JJ Grey & Mofro, Alejandro Escovedo, The Lost Bayou Ramblers, and more. They are the Producers and Hosts of the popular live music series “The Tall Pines Revue” at Joe’s Pub, in New York City. With their new album “Tales From The Tall Pines” out in April on Declared Goods Records, Connie Lynn and Christmas are excited to share some brand new songs at The Tall Pines Revue. The Tall Pines play road-trip music for everyday life, juke-joint pit stops, and out-of-body experiences. We hope that you'll join us for the ride.
"The Tall Pines are equal parts soul and twang, molasses and moonshine, sass and skill. The songs evoke the heyday of the
country-soul hybrid without ever sounding unoriginal, a difficult feat.” ~ NPR Music
Julia Haltigan:
Julia Haltigan is a New York–born musician and storyteller, shaped by a Lower East Side upbringing full of artists, taxi drivers, and unforgettable personalities. Best known as a music artist, her work extends into film, immersive theater, and even a touch of clowning. In addition to releasing several records under her own name, she has appeared in the award-winning film La Cocina, spent years performing in the surreal off-Broadway hit Sleep No More, and brings a physical, slightly mischievous edge to everything she does. Her current project, Moon Radio—created with vibraphonist and composer Yusuke Yamamoto—is a dreamy, cinematic band blending moody vibraphone, vintage synths, and ethereal vocals into a transportive live experience. Think Martin Denny scoring a David Lynch dream sequence. Catch the full Moon Radio band at Joe’s Pub on May 29!
Bob Bert:
Bob Bert is best known as a drummer in the seminal NYC bands Sonic Youth & Pussy Galore. Continuing on in many bands including collaborations with Lydia Lunch, Kid Congo Powers, Mick Collins, Jon Spencer etc. Bob drums on over 25 albums. Once described by Thurston Moore as a no wave Clem Burke! In 2019 Bob Bert’s book entitled “I’m Just The Drummer” My time behind Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Chrome Cranks & BB Gun Magazine was published by HoZac Books. This year will find the release of Bob Bert’s first solo album Beach Bongo Bloodbath on June 12th by Bar/None Records.
He is also a pretty decent DJ.
Reese Nobile:
Reese Nobile is a singer-songwriter who channels the spirit of the Southern wild with tones soaked in velvet and smoke, steeped in mysticism. Infused with a subtle country twang and layered with elements of indie, folk, R&B, and pop, her music carries a distinctive mystique that feels intimate, emotionally resonant, and atmospherically rich.
