The Storyteller’s Body
A 6-Session Course with Inés Álvarez Villa
This 6-session course explores storytelling from the inside out — beginning in the body, travelling through emotion, and arriving at the words that carry it all.
The Storyteller’s Body is for storytellers and anyone who would like to gain confidence speaking in front of an audience. Whether you are a performer, teacher, speaker, or simply someone who loves stories, this workshop offers a solid foundation in the craft.Together, we will explore:
- Body awareness, presence, and emotional connection as the foundation of storytelling
- Overcoming nervousness and building confidence in front of an audience
- Discovering and developing your unique voice as a storyteller
- The elements of story and how they work together
- Choosing stories that feel right for you and your audience
- Using words, silence, rhythm, and pacing to hold attention
- Building a genuine, felt connection with your listeners
When you stand in front of an audience, your body language often speaks louder than your words. Learning to use non-verbal communication with intention will help you engage your audience and keep their full attention. In this extended format, we go further — exploring how stories are built and why they work, and how to use movement, language, rhythm, and emotion to stir something deep in those listening.Drawing from her background as a former ballet dancer and her work as a professional storyteller, Inés offers a warm, playful and deeply supportive space. Sessions include music, games, practical exercises, and plenty of opportunity to practise and receive generous, constructive feedback. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to play.To ensure personal attention, this workshop is limited to 12 participants. Book early to secure your space and access the Early Bird discount.
