About this Event
Join award-winning visual storyteller Ana Maria Arévalo Gosen and CPF Selectee 2026 Ana Maria Arévalo Gosen in collaboration with Copenhagen Photo Festival for a workshop on how to shape a photography project from its earliest intuition into a coherent, long-term body of work.
About the Workshop
This workshop is for photographers who want to deepen their practice and learn how to shape a project with clarity, direction, and long-term intention. Drawing from her professional experience, Ana Maria Arévalo Gosen will guide participants through the different stages of developing a photographic body of work, from the first spark of an idea to editing, dissemination, and impact.
Taken directly from her professional experience, Ana Maria will guide participants via conversation and practical advice to showcase the key steps to building a project from start to finish. Key areas of exploration will be:
- Conceiving ideas and conducting relevant research.
- How to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Building collaboration and maintaining ethical and long-term accountability.
- The process of editing and sequencing.
- Developing impact strategies and disseminating your findings.
- Navigating grants, awards and portfolio reviews.
This workshop is ideal for photographers looking to build a more grounded, intentional, and cohesive practice, regardless of subject matter. Lunch will be provided.
