Since the first robot-assisted surgery was performed, over 40 years ago, major advances in robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence have fundamentally changed medicine and healthcare.
Innovative new technologies are already aiding skilled medical professionals in diagnosis, surgery, rehabilitation and beyond. But many questions remain: What ethical issues arise as medical tools become increasingly autonomous? How do we regulate technologies that can learn and change over time? And how can we ensure that cutting-edge medical devices are accessible to all?
Join experts in robotics and AI to explore these topics in a live recording of the Robot Talk podcast.
Now in its sixth season, Robot Talk is funded by the Hamlyn Centre and covers all aspects of robotics research and innovation. It aims to engage and inspire people to understand, interact with, and pursue careers in robotics, and to boost the profile of robotics research in the UK and globally.

This event is part of the Great Exhibition Road Festival on 6-7 June 2026.

Please arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time. Your ticket gives you priority access, however, as this is a free event we overbook to help ensure a full event and your space may be reallocated. Early arrival reduces this risk.
