About this Event
The Reunion Project, the alliance of HIV long-term survivors, will be hosting our next peer-led community convening in Chicago, themed "Together We Stand, Forever We Thrive," on Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25, 2025 at Kasbeer Hall, Loyola University, 25 Pearson Street.
Activities on both days will be held between 9am-5pm CT with sessions and community discussions addressing the health, wellness, quality of life, and employment concerns of individuals living in the Chicago area.
Day one, Friday, February 27, will be an employment forum for all people living with HIV or with reasons for HIV prevention interested in discussions, information, services, and resources to consider options for employment or self-employment, and education. Sessions will explore strategies and experiences of community members related to employment, key programs and resources to consider utilizing, what to know about working while enrolled in public benefits, and opportunities to talk one-on-one with representatives from vital Chicago and statewide programs and resources, and connections with other community members considering options for work.
Day two, Saturday, February 28, will connect HIV long-term survivors through story-telling and informative workshops. Attendees will learn how to live and age well with HIV. The day will feature a mix of facilitated discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities, all aimed at addressing the unique needs of long-term survivors and individuals aging with HIV in Chicago. We will also hear from attendees what the needs are for HIV long-term survivors in their area.
Both events will be held from 9am-5pm CT.
