About this Event

Join us in Fortnum’s Food & Drink Studio for a special Kitchen Stories event with Madeeha Qureshi, MasterChef UK 2021 finalist and author of the forthcoming The Red Sea Cookbook. Madeeha is a celebrated recipe developer and chef whose work focuses on the warm, generous flavours of the Arabian Peninsula. Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, Madeeha's recipes are a way of honouring family traditions and sharing the rich culinary history of the Red Sea region.

In The Red Sea Cookbook, Madeeha presents over 100 heartfelt recipes and personal stories, showcasing the bold spices, vibrant ingredients and cross‑cultural influences that define the region’s food. The book offers everything from condiments and small plates to mains, desserts and drinks — a “one‑of‑a‑kind treasure trove of flavours and aromas,” and a moving tribute to her father’s memory and the redemptive power of cooking.

During this intimate event, Madeeha will share the inspirations behind her dishes, the stories woven through her recipes, and her journey from home cook to MasterChef finalist and author. Expect a warm, engaging conversation and the chance to dive deeper into the culinary traditions of Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea coast.

A welcome drink and selection of snacks will be available to enjoy on arrival.
